The Lumley Concert Grands

If you have read some press articles and indeed, some of my newsletters over the last few years, you will be aware that the Concert Grands are the culmination of a long R & D process running through many different attempts to produce the whole story in a domestic environment. Of course, the Lumleys are just one of a great many top end loudspeakers in which each manufacturer believes they have got it right.

So are the Lumley’s right? .... No, nothing is, but I have listened to more loudspeakers than most and as Metropolis Music, we also import some of the worlds very best like Hansen, Kharma, Sound Lab, Ascendo, and we are well associated with Rockport, Ypsilon,Wilson, JM Labs and many more to say the least. The Lumleys, however, are possibly the largest so up against all my competitors who present very strong competition for the best domestic sound around, it will only be the few enthusiasts who have the chance or the facilities or the room to accommodate what I believe are as close to the best I have heard.

In fact, the Lumleys make their mark very strongly. Don’t believe it? Then you might just be the loser. I have worked on the final example of the CG’s over the last 4 years and they are now built to the highest standard (just like the Stratosphere) and I am confident that they represent fantastic value. So if you are in the market for a loudspeaker that takes you there then come and audition them yourself and prove me wrong - or try to!  Are there better one box loudspeakers on the market? Of course there are, but at the price ? ... Come and make the judgement for yourself.
