The new SET 100 VS (VS for Valve Stereo) is a totally new design. Ypsilon could have taken the easy route and just made a stereo version of their highly acclaimed (and one of our long term favourites) SET 100 mono-block amplifiers. Knowing that the guys at Ypsilon never take the easy route the idea for a completely new design all valve stereo power amp was announced.

We have now got the first production sample in stock and we have to say that with the right speakers (the output is 40 watts single ended) the sound is absolutely stunning. While the output might sound low we have been demonstrating the VS with Rockport Merek/Sheritan, an 89db sensitive and 4 ohm load speaker, with great success.

If you like the sound of Ypsilon but are not quite up to the SET 100's asking price then the new VS maybe a great alternative, come and have a listen.
