For nearly ten years now we have been operating our 1-Month Home Trial Scheme that has proven time and again to be the only way to buy hi-fi. We all know how important it is to listen to hi-fi products before you buy them, but that alone is often not going to tell you how it will sound at home. Room acoustics play a big game with hi-fi products be it simple physics such as putting a large speaker into a room that is too small or more complex problems such as tailoring the position of system around a tight set of tolerances for positioning, the bottom line is that there are very few 'perfect' listening rooms out there.

Small differences to a room's sound are sometimes unbelievable, curtains vs. blinds, carpets vs. bare floors, even a textured wall paper vs. a smooth paint finish on your walls all make a difference, and that's with out talking about the type and position of furniture etc!

These are of course very large variables and there is no way to properly replicate these variables for everyone in a demonstration room, even from one of our eight rooms. So obviously you need to buy your hi-fi from the comfort of your home. The Home trial scheme is a very flexible way of doing this, here's how it works.

We have two customers for demonstrations. Customer 'A' has two amplifiers in mind and after listening to both he or she prefers one over the other and a purchase is made. The amplifier is taken home but after a few weeks, he or she is not quite so sure. It doesn't sound quite like it did in the demonstration. Then where do they go, bring it back for a part/exchange?

Customer 'B' also has an interest in two amplifiers. Again, after listening in our dem rooms, both are liked but a final choice at that moment seems a little difficult. Customer 'B' then chooses to join our 'One Months Trial Scheme'. A deposit is paid* and this customer goes home with both the amplifiers that were liked in the demonstration. Well would you believe, neither of these first two sound just how the customer wants and so after consultation with us, further amplification is suggested and this replaces the first two amplifiers for further IN HOME testing. Now customer 'B' is getting somewhere. After trying several products, a final choice is made and we are all happy. All the units tried at home are returned to us (they are usually our demonstration units) and a new boxed amplifier is delivered to customer 'B' and the guarantee starts then. It may even happen that customer 'B' decides that their first choice is after all the one that they will stick with and therefore they can return to that particular product after confirming (by trying several others) that this first decision was correct. We will also extend the month if necessary as sometimes with a particularly difficult case, one month is not quite enough. We may however, ask for the deposit to be increased at this stage.

So there you go the 1-Month Home Trial Scheme could not be simpler, you get the right product for your home and your system.
