Founded1991

Argento Audio is a Danish cable company founded in 1991, whose products were at first sold mainly in Denmark before being exported to many countries. As the name, Italian for silver, suggests, the company is associated with silver conductors, and it designs and manufactures its cables in Denmark using parts made to its own specifications. Its Serenity range, introduced in 2003, and the later Flow range include interconnects, speaker cables, digital cables and power cords, at prices that place them firmly in the high-end market. Argento cables are known for their distinctive appearance and careful construction, and they are generally described as open, detailed and natural. The people behind Argento were later reported to be involved in a related cable company, Organic Audio. Like several Danish audio specialists, Argento combines Scandinavian design with a small, craft-based production process. Its cables are expensive and built in limited numbers. They are sold through specialist dealers.

More about Argento Audio

Different also because of their construction, which is very attractively done using copper or silver conductors wrapped in a transparent outer, making them quite thin and flexible. In some systems, this is a real help. It's a good cable for sharpening things up a little, and can brighten a somewhat dull system. This is so far proving to be a little different even from the rest of the Argento range.
