Anthem is a Canadian electronics brand created in the mid-1990s by the team behind Paradigm loudspeakers, and it is part of the same company. Anthem's early products included valve preamplifiers and amplifiers, but it soon became best known for solid-state stereo and home-cinema electronics offering strong performance at reasonable prices. A key part of its reputation is Anthem Room Correction (ARC), a system that measures a room with a microphone and adjusts the equipment's output to reduce the effect of room acoustics, particularly bass problems. Anthem's AV processors and MRX receivers are highly regarded in home cinema, while stereo models such as the Integrated 225 and the STR integrated amplifier and preamplifier brought room correction to two-channel systems. Anthem products are designed and largely engineered in Canada, and they are known for clean, powerful, neutral sound. Its products are widely available and well regarded, and the company offers long software support for its processors.
