Canor is a Slovakian maker of valve and hybrid electronics based in Prešov, founded in the mid-1990s. The company also builds products for other brands and has extensive in-house manufacturing, including its own transformers and circuit boards. Canor's range includes valve integrated amplifiers, preamplifiers, power amplifiers, phono stages and CD players with valve output stages. Its designs often use its own circuit developments, and later models adopted a proprietary analogue circuit topology intended to reduce distortion in the valve stages. Products such as the TP306 and Virtus integrated amplifiers have been widely reviewed and praised for combining valve warmth with clarity and control. Canor's products are notable for offering high build quality at prices below many Western European rivals. The company remains one of the few significant hi-fi manufacturers from Central Europe with an international distribution network. Its manufacturing capability also gives it unusual control over quality and consistency, which reviewers have often noted.
