Copland is a Danish electronics company founded in the mid-1980s by Ole Møller, and it has long been associated with valve and hybrid amplification in an unusually understated, Scandinavian style. Its amplifiers, preamplifiers, CD players and DACs share a simple visual language: plain fascias, large knobs and minimal controls. Copland's valve integrated amplifiers, such as the CTA 401, and its hybrid designs, which combine a valve input stage with solid-state output, have been its best-known products, praised for an easy, natural sound that avoids the warmer extremes sometimes associated with valves. The company has also built solid-state amplifiers and digital sources, including DACs with headphone outputs. Copland is a small firm and has kept a deliberately compact range, replacing models slowly rather than chasing yearly updates. Its products are well regarded by listeners looking for refined, low-key electronics that fit easily into a domestic setting. Its electronics have a loyal following across Europe.

More about Copland
Copland It is almost a decade now since Copland was founded by Danish designer Olé Möller. Following on from years of experience and an intuitive feel for the product, Olé has brought a new meaning to valve amplification, dispelling myths regarding the reliability and performance of valve amplifiers. The exquisite smooth sounds associated with valves combine in all of Olé's designs with a build quality that has become Copland's hallmark.
