Eben is a Danish loudspeaker line associated with the designers behind Raidho, the high-end speaker company from northern Jutland built by Lars Kristensen and Michael Børresen. According to a SoundStage visit report, Eben was the name of the premiere series, named after Kristensen's wife. The Eben speakers combined a ribbon tweeter, developed by the team, with ceramic drive units from Accuton, which are prized for their stiffness and low distortion, in cabinets designed to be as inert as possible. The pairing of ribbon and ceramic drivers became a hallmark of the designers' later work. Coverage of the line is limited, and its current status is unclear, but it forms part of the history of one of Denmark's most respected loudspeaker design teams. The combination of ribbon and ceramic drive units has since been widely admired by reviewers for its speed and transparency. Eben speakers are rare, and most information about them comes from Scandinavian reviews and visits to the designers.
