LSA, short for Living Sounds Audio, is an American hi-fi brand best known for loudspeakers that offer high-end design ideas at comparatively modest prices. Its early models, such as the LSA-1 Statement standmount, were praised by reviewers for their natural sound and value. The brand later came under the ownership of Underwood HiFi, the internet-based audio company run by Walter Liederman, a former executive of the American retail chain HiFi Buys, which became LSA's sole dealer and later bought the brand. Under Underwood, the range expanded to include the Signature and Statement series of standmount and floorstanding speakers and electronics such as the Discovery Warp-1 power amplifier. LSA products are sold direct, which helps keep prices down, and many are manufactured in Asia to the company's designs.
