Piega is a Swiss loudspeaker company founded in 1986 by Leo Greiner and Kurt Scheuch and based near Zurich. It is best known for its ribbon tweeters, and later its coaxial ribbon drivers, in which a ribbon midrange surrounds a ribbon tweeter so that both frequency ranges come from the same point. Ribbon drivers use an extremely thin, light foil suspended in a magnetic field, which allows very fast, detailed high-frequency reproduction. Piega pairs these drivers with slim cabinets made from extruded aluminium, which are both rigid and elegant. Its range runs from tiny TMicro models through the Classic and Premium series to the Coax series and the flagship Master Line Source, a tall line-array speaker. Piega speakers are known for clarity, refinement and fine Swiss build quality, and they are designed and made in Switzerland. The company has built a strong international reputation for engineering and design quality. Its speakers are sold worldwide.
