Sound Lab is an American maker of full-range electrostatic loudspeakers, based in Utah and led for many years by Roger West, Ph.D., who has written widely on electrostatic technology. Unlike hybrid designs, Sound Lab speakers use electrostatic panels for the whole frequency range, including the bass, which requires very large panels. To spread sound widely, they are built from many small flat sections arranged in a gentle curve, a technique sometimes called segmented or faceted geometry. Sound Lab speakers are known for extraordinary scale, transparency and coherence, because one type of driver covers everything, and for being among the best electrostatics for deep bass. They are also large, need careful placement and work best with powerful, stable amplifiers. Models such as the Ultimate U-1, the A-1 and the Majestic series have been its best known. The company remains small and specialist, building its panels by hand. Its speakers are often described as some of the most realistic ever built.

More about Sound Lab
Soundlab Sound Lab has been in business since 1978. The founders of the company, Dr. Dale Ream, shared a belief that electrostatic transduction was potentially the optimum technology for loudspeakers. During this time the company has successfully addressed the major problems of electrostatic loudspeaker technology and has developed a series of speakers each of which is designed to fulfill a specific purpose.
Not only are the products optimum acoustical machines, but they are beautiful pieces of matched furniture that will grace any decor.
