Vincent is a German hi-fi brand from the distributor Sintron, which designs its products in Germany and has them manufactured in Asia. Vincent is best known for hybrid amplifiers that combine a valve preamplifier stage with a solid-state power stage, aiming to give some of the warmth and texture of valves together with the power and control of transistors at a sensible price. Its range includes integrated amplifiers such as the SV-237 and the SV-500, which was praised as a strong value product, as well as preamplifiers, power amplifiers, CD players and phono stages. Many Vincent products share a distinctive look, with a large central meter or window showing the glowing valves. The brand sits in the affordable part of the high-end market and has been well reviewed in Europe as a way of getting valve character into a system without the cost of a fully valve amplifier.
