Wilson Audio is an American loudspeaker company based in Provo, Utah, founded by David Wilson in the 1970s. Wilson began as a recording engineer, and his first speakers were built as monitors for judging his own recordings. The WAMM (Wilson Audio Modular Monitor) of the early 1980s was one of the first statement-level domestic speakers, and the WATT, later paired with the Puppy bass module as the WATT/Puppy, became one of the best-selling high-end speakers of its era. Wilson speakers are known for their stacked, adjustable modules, which let each driver's timing be aligned for the listening position, and for cabinets made from dense proprietary composites. The range runs from the Sabrina and Sasha to the Alexx and the flagship WAMM Master Chronosonic. David Wilson died in 2018, and the company is now led by his son Daryl Wilson. The brand remains one of the most prominent in American high-end audio.
