YG Acoustics is an American loudspeaker maker based in Colorado, founded by Yoav Geva in the early 2000s. Like a small number of other high-end makers, YG builds its cabinets from aircraft-grade aluminium, machined in-house, to produce enclosures that are extremely rigid and inert. It also machines many of its own drive-unit parts, and it emphasises crossover design work aimed at keeping the speakers accurate in both frequency and phase. Its early Anat Reference established the brand, followed by models such as the Kipod, Carmel, Sonja and Hailey, and later the more affordable Peaks series. YG speakers are usually described as precise, neutral and highly transparent, with very controlled bass, and they are often paired with powerful solid-state amplifiers. The company remains comparatively small and specialist, and its products are mostly found in reference systems and high-end shops around the world. Its speakers are built in Colorado, and the company has steadily widened its range to include more affordable models alongside its flagships.
