Zingali Acoustics is an Italian loudspeaker company founded in 1986 by Giuseppe Zingali, beginning as a small workshop building speakers for the professional audio sector. Its signature is the Omniray horn, a patented circular wooden horn developed in the mid-1990s, which loads the tweeter and is designed to give a controlled dispersion of about 90 degrees, so that the speakers sound consistent across a wide listening area. Zingali speakers combine horn efficiency and dynamics with the warmth of solid wood, and they are known for their craftsmanship and their distinctive Italian look. Models include the Zero series of compact standmounts and the larger Twenty series of floorstanders. Because horn-loaded speakers are efficient, Zingali designs work well with low-powered valve amplifiers. The company is based in Aprilia, south of Rome, and continues to exhibit at European hi-fi shows. Its speakers are hand-finished and made in Italy. Its speakers suit valve amplifiers in particular.

More about Zingali

This goes back to 1986, when Giuseppe Zingali set up a workshop with the sole purpose of building the most un-compromising loudspeaker systems for hi-fi and sudio monitoring using only professional components and quality materials. Throughout its lifetime, Zingali's work has been focused on the optimisation of sound reproduction by horn driver based loudspeakers and their various advantages over conventional transducers. In 1995, following years of extensive research, the revolutionary Omniray Technologywas born. A circular horn made of wood (poplaar) representing the state of the art perfect, lifelike reproduction of mid and high frequencies.

Since their introduction, Omniray loudspeakers have been submitted to countless tests, technical measurements and listening sessions by sounds engineers throughout the world. All have agreed that the Omniray Technology represents a new chapter in superior sound reproduction. Zingali loudspeakers reproduce the acoustic image and the timbre of all musical instruments with uncanny fidelity. This acts to restore the "live" orchestral scenery, with simultaneous dynamic qualities and an equilibrium among the instruments never before possible.

The Zingali range compromises of two ranges of home orientated loudspeakers, the Overture B & S series, and the Butterfly series of professional monitors. All of which share exceptional build quality, classic Italian design and of course, the Omniray horn technology. Compromising of two different sized satellites and subs, the Colloseum is the smallest horn-loaded loudspeaker system in the world.
